Description:  The core training for this course will run on the following dates:  15/05, 22/05, 12/06 and 26/06.  To fully achieve this certificate, you will need to pay and book your final assessment with the LTA. The LTA Instructor is an enhanced five-day qualification ideal for those looking to build on the coaching foundations of LTA Assistant/Level 1, enabling you to lead (not assist) in the delivery of group coaching. Please read on for full understanding of how to achieve the LTA Instructor qualification.  There are two separate components to LTA Qualifications: Training and Assessment.

LTA Assistant (Level 1 Coaching Tennis) – £250 – Deanes Sports Centre – All Courses – Wimx

Description:  This is a 2-day course running on 05/06/22 and 26/06/22.  This enhanced two-day qualification is ideal for tennis parents, enthusiasts, or keen players looking for the knowledge and skills to support group coaching sessions, alongside a lead Coach.  Learning outcomes include:

  • Communication, organisation, and differentiation skills for group coaching
  • Basic tactical, technical, physical, and mental development frameworks
  • Other key assistant skills; from safeguarding to LTA Youth delivery.

LTA Assistants will be trained to assist a lead Coach at any venue. The course is designed so that sessions run by a lead Coach can be run with higher group numbers, or a session with the same group numbers can be run with higher quality. The course learning outcomes are delivered in the context of beginner level, 10 and under coaching. However, the course covers basic knowledge and skills that are applicable for any age of player and any level of player. There are two separate components to LTA Qualifications: Training and Assessment.

Introduction to Padel Coaching – CPD points! – £100 – Stratford Padel Club – All Courses – Wimx  Starts 7 June

Description:  This course will provide Coaches with some elementary knowledge and skills to offer basic Padel coaching to their repertoire. The learning outcomes for this course are:

  • Understand game situations and court positioning for Padel and how to teach them
  • Learn some basic ways of teaching players how to use the back glass
  • Understand and practice how coaching skills differ from tennis coaching to Padel coaching, including feeding
  • Learn and play some games to take back to your venue and use with your players
