Coaching and Education
Develop and expand your tennis knowledge through a number of workshops and online courses. Courses are available from coaching mini tennis, cardio tennis to developing footwork and the differences between teaching and developing female tennis players. These are available through a range of course providers.
Accredited+ coaches need 15 credits per year from workshops and online courses to renew their accreditation. Find out about available courses here.
From 1st October 2019 the LTA introduced new minimum standards for coaches at clubs (levels 3-5). In order for clubs to obtain registration as from 1st October 2019 all coaches registered to deliver coaching at venues will need to be LTA accredited or accredited+

We are trying to ensure that there are enough Safeguarding and First Aid courses available in Essex so that coaches can become accredited or renew their accreditation
An initiative by Judy Murray to expand the number of women and girls coaching and playing tennis across the UK. Judy has designed 4 courses

- Teen Girls Starter Tennis
- Girls Fun Days
- Girls Recreational Competitions
Anyone can attend these courses, though female activators and coaches can apply for a free equipment bag.

A start course for kids aged 4 -11. lessons are open to kids aged between 4 and 11, and will be available from coaches near you, all year round.
For just £25 every child will receive 6 high – quality lessons, developed by experts at the LTA, as well as a special Tennis for Kids Babolat racket, ball set, and personalised T-shirt delivered right to their door.
