Road to Wimbledon
For 11-14 year olds (or Year 7-9 for schools) and players with a rating of 7.1 or worse – this is a great staged competition. Venues and Venue organisers plan and run their own internal competition for eligible players. The winner qualifies through to the County Finals at Paddington Recreational Grounds with lots of fun competition and prizes.
The ultimate prize for County champions is the opportunity to play a tournament on the Grass Courts at AELTC, home of Wimbledon Championships. This has in the past included access to the Wimbledon Museum, AELTC Player changing rooms and the R2W player party during the week.
County Runners Up are invited to attend a Coach workshop with Dan Bloxham, Head Coach at AELTC and a former pro player at AELTC.
